What is included in the Trendy Trees Christmas tree hire service
Our Christmas tree hire service includes the Christmas tree,
fairy lights, decorations, tree topper and base cover.
On installation day our team arrives, professionally
installs and decorates your tree, and returns after the holidays to dismantle
and collect everything.
How long can I keep the hired Christmas tree for
Pricing is for the full festive season. Trees
are generally installed from November onwards and collected during January.
Where does Trendy Trees install hired Christmas trees
We are based in Cape Town and install within
approximately a 50km radius of the city centre.
Is there a minimum booking value
Yes. Our minimum Christmas tree hire booking is based on a
professionally decorated 1.8m Christmas tree package. Smaller trees and additional decorative items may be available on request.
What happens on installation day
Usually 2–3 Trendy Trees staff members in branded clothing
will:
- Unpack the tree
- Shape and fluff branches
- Install lights
- Professionally decorate the tree
- Style ribbons and finishing touches
- Tidy packaging and working areas before leaving
How long does installation take
Installation timing depends on tree size and décor complexity.
Typical times:
- 1.8m tree: approximately 1 hour
- 2.1m–2.4m tree: approximately 2 hours
- Large luxury trees: approximately 3–4 hours
Do I need to be home during installation
No, just arrange access for our team. If the
tree will be far from a power source please also arrange for an extension cable
Can I choose my colour scheme or style
Yes. We encourage clients to share inspiration images or describe the look they would like.

ceiling height. We will guide you on the most suitable tree size and

- In an area with reasonable access for installation
- Not directly exposed to weather or moisture

Do you offer Christmas trees for AirBnB properties and holiday rentals
Yes. Guests or hosts can arrange installation the day before arrival and collection after departure.
Can you invoice the guest directly
Yes. We can invoice:
- The guest directly
- The host
- The managing agency
Alternatively, the cost can be added to the guest’s accommodation invoice.

Yes, providing access logistics have been
clearly arranged before installation day.

Are your Christmas trees easy to assemble
Yes. Trees are supplied with assembly
instructions and can usually be assembled within 30–90 minutes depending on
size.
Can I buy the exact decorations shown in your photos
In many cases yes, subject to stock
availability.
Do you ship Christmas trees and decorations outside Cape Town
Yes. Selected products can be couriered
nationally within South Africa.
Are the lights included with purchased trees
Some bundles include lights while others offer them as optional extras.

How do I secure my booking
Bookings are confirmed once the required
deposit/payment has been received.
How early should I book
As early as possible. Premium dates and larger trees book out first.
Can I reserve a specific tree
Yes, We allocate trees according to package size, theme, and availability at the time of booking confirmation.
What happens if I book late in the season
Availability becomes very limited closer to
December and selection options may reduce significantly.
Do you offer refunds or cancellations
Cancellation policies vary depending on timing and stock allocation. Full terms are available during booking.

Will the tree damage my floors or furniture
No. Our team takes care during installation and uses protective measures where necessary.
Are your Christmas trees flame retardant
Our artificial trees are manufactured for indoor decorative use and many ranges include flame-retardant materials.
Do the lights get hot
No. We primarily use LED lighting which remains cool and energy efficient.
Can children and pets be around the tree safely
Yes, however decorations remain fragile and supervision is always recommended around children and pets.
What happens if decorations are damaged
Breakages beyond normal wear and tear may be charged accordingly.
Does Trendy Trees donate Christmas trees or décor
Each year we support a very limited number of pre-planned community projects and charitable initiatives.
How do I apply for a donation or sponsored installation
Applications for the following festive season can be submitted via our online application form.

Due to the high volume of requests received each season, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate ad-hoc or last-minute requests.
