I only need the Christmas tree for one night – is that possible?

Of course - many of Cape Town’s venues have dealt with Trendy Trees and we liaise with them and you to ensure we set up and pack down at a convenient time to the event. Please contact us for the latest rates on one-night hire as these do change depending on how much notice we have

Can I choose my colours?

Absolutely! We can put together a unique tree for you, typically at no extra cost. We have even set up rainbow Christmas trees that will knock your socks off. If you have specific colour requirements, please give us as much notice as possible and we will do our best to accommodate.

How do I pay?

While we do offer PayFast and credit card payment options via this website, you can also request an invoice instead when you check out and EFT the payment (which many of our customers do). A deposit is required to secure the order and all invoices must be paid prior to setup date

How long does set up take?

We setup on site and the time taken to setup a tree depends on the size ordered - our smallest trees take approx. 2 hours whereas the large 4m Conical tree is pre-decorated and assembled on site.  If multiple trees are being setup for an event, please let us know so we can roster additional staff for the setup

What are the trees like?

All Trendy Trees’ Christmas trees are of the highest quality available whether for rent or for purchase.  We do not use cheap plastic trees, just the highest quality faux-trees money can buy. When fully fluffed you will not be able to see through the tree. They are truly incredible to look at !

Do you hire out fresh trees?

We made a conscious decision a few years ago to not offer fresh trees for the following reasons:

  • Building managers hate them due to all the mess they create
  • The trees look truly awful in January when we come to collect them
  • Staff found it difficult to remember to replenish their water, meaning trees would not make it the last week of Christmas
  • Some staff complained of skin irritations caused by the tree
  • Our trees look just as good as a real tree and suffer from none of the above problems

How do I choose the best tree for me?

The 2.2m Christmas tree is ideal for most homes and offices. If you have double volume or a slightly higher than standard ceiling the 3m tree will fit in and it is truly spectacular.

How will the Christmas tree be delivered?

Your Christmas tree will be couriered to you in a box. The metal stand holds 3 to 5 sections of the tree (depending on the size you have purchased. Your box can be reused to store you tree in after the holidays.

What happens if I don’t like the Christmas tree when it arrives?

If for any reason the tree is not suitable, we will swop for another size or colour if we have stock or collect the tree and you will receive a full refund. If there is no defect we might need to charge a small collection fee.Call us – we want you to be happy with your purchase.

How do I put up the Christmas tree?

  • Open your Christmas tree box and keep it.
  • Place the metal stand where you would like the tree to be positioned (with a little room to move all around it).
  • Place the first piece of the Christmas tree into the stand (it typically has a point at the end of the metal pole).
  • It is worth putting in the extra time and effort to open up each of the branches on bendy wire so that when you put on lights and decorations, they are all in the right place.
  • Once all the branches are open put the next section on and keep going.

How long will my Christmas tree last?

If you pack you tree away carefully every year, it will last 20 years or more.
